John Blackmore the owner of Blackmore's Northumberland restaurant is well known and very renowned in fine dining circles. He has prepared fine cuisine for royalty, celebrities, and dignitaries, such as Her Majesty the Queen, and Tony Blair, and was executive chef at Newcastle United's Magpie Rooms.
With such an illustrious career, and a wealth of experience John Blackmore has now created Blackmore's in the heart of Alnwick, and just a stones throw from Alnwick castle and gardens. Alnwick is a very charming and historic market town, with a fine history, and an excellent selection of golf courses and superb trout and salmon rivers.

Northumberland is well known for its fine produce from lamb grazed on the Cheviot Hills, pheasant, deer from Kielder, to fantastic salmon and trout, as well as fine regional cheeses, and real ales. Blackmore's uses seasonal produce sourced locally, to create the fine dishes on its exciting menu.
Blackmore's is sumptuously decorated, and very chic, with a warm mix of earth tones, luxurious comfortable furnishings, and objets d'arte. It has a warm friendly atmosphere, for dining parties, weddings, small groups and intimate romantic dinners. The bar is the perfect spot for buffet dining, with a superb selection of culinary treats on the menu.
